Upcoming
Membership drive · September 1–30 · closing soon
Every membership counts toward a grade and a classroom this year.
Most members in a grade
Ice cream party
Any class at 100%
Pizza party
There is no cap on the pizza party. Every class that reaches 100% wins one.
And the unit goal
Georgia PTA recognizes units that reach 200 members by the last business day of September. We are 70 members away. We closed last year at 166, up from 147, which earned Wesley the Outstanding Local Unit Award.
What your membership pays for
Every dollar runs through a committee with a written plan of work and an approved budget line, voted on by the membership and audited each year. Nothing is spent outside those lines without an approved amendment.

Committees · 2026–2027
Five standing committees and one special committee. Each files an annual plan of work approved by the board. Chairs for 2026–2027 are appointed by the Executive Committee and will be named once they are seated; standing chairs then serve as voting members of the Board of Directors.

Transparency
Members may request any of our governing and financial records — the bylaws, the adopted budget, the annual audit, the IRS Form 990, and minutes from every general body meeting.

Membership
Membership is open to the whole Wesley community: parents, students, teachers and staff, grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors, business owners and local organizations. You do not need a child at the school to join, and students can and should join as members themselves.
Do not skip this
One step at checkout decides whether your membership counts toward a grade and a classroom. It is easy to miss.
Already joined? Sign back in and add your student. It still counts.
Why it matters
It gives you a vote
Only paid members may vote at general body meetings — on the budget, on bylaws amendments, and on who serves as an officer. Quorum is 15 paid members.
It funds the programs
Dues are the base of the budget that pays for enrichment programming, the events slate, and teacher and staff appreciation.
It counts for Wesley
Membership numbers determine our standing with Georgia PTA, our eligibility for awards and grants, and how many delegates Wesley can seat at council and state conventions.
It is not a time commitment
Joining and volunteering are separate. Plenty of members never work an event — the membership alone is the support.

For exceeding the 2% growth goal
Dues are collected through our membership platform, which also handles optional donations. We are moving to a new platform for the 2027–2028 year; your membership record carries over.
Get involved
Most of our committees recruit by event rather than for the full year. You can work one Saturday morning and be done, or chair a committee — both are real help.

Wesley PTSA is a nonprofit organization in good standing with Georgia PTA and registered with the Georgia Secretary of State. Every dollar is budgeted by line, voted on by the membership, and audited each year.
Ways to give
Membership dues
The steadiest source of income, and the one that also gives you a vote. A portion goes to National and Georgia PTA; the rest stays at Wesley.
N.U.T. Pass Days
No Uniform Today. Once a month students pay a small fee to dress down. It is our simplest and most reliable fundraiser.
The school store
Uniforms and spirit wear, sold online and at school. You need the uniforms anyway — buying them here funds programming.
Seasonal fundraisers
Small, cheerful and effective. The Halloween Cupcake Fundraiser runs October 1 to 27, $3 each through the school store.
Direct donations
One-time gifts of any size, through the membership platform or at any PTSA table. Many employers match employee donations. Search for Wesley International Academy PTSA or PTA Georgia Congress, EIN 20-8953792.
Sponsorship
Local businesses can sponsor Mid-Autumn Fest, the Glow Party or the end-of-year party. Contact the Fundraising chair to talk about a package.
Where it goes
Every committee spends against an approved budget line and reports at general body meetings. Spending outside a line requires an amendment approved by the membership, and the books are audited each year by a committee seated from the general body.
Transparency
Members may request any of the records below. Email the Secretary and we will send the document — most come back the same week. Records that contain budget and financial detail are sent on request rather than posted publicly.
